Our morning began with a social time from 10:15 to 10:45am. A big thank you to Dan & Becky for
bringing quiches, pastries and fruit which all enjoyed. Dan opened the meeting by thanking the property owners who were present, a quorum was achieved. Dan mentioned that it is important that we have each property owner’s mailing address, email address as well as their property address. He talked about the property usage criteria which can also be found on our website, Snowline-Skydale.org. Dan said that he was made aware of an algae bloom on the lake. This is due to not enough snow running off into the lake. Dogs should not be drinking from the lake but the fish should be fine. Also, if any wildlife is found dead around the lake property please call a Board Member and they can take care of calling the proper officials for removal. Our contact information is on the website Snowline-Skydale.org
The meeting minutes from 2024 were not read because they were sent to the members and have been on our website Snowline-Skydale.org for the past year. It was moved by Sally B and seconded by Betty P that we accept the minutes.
Vickie W gave her Treasurer’s Report – she mentioned that in the last 2 years there has been an increase of 61% in tax valuation. Also Citywide Bank has merged with UMB Bank. The Board has decided to keep the Annual Dues and Fishing passes at the same cost as last year. Thank you to John F. for providing us the fishing passes each year!

2025-2026 Fishing Season Pass and Member Lake Pass (non-fishing) is good through May 31, 2026. A pass must always be worn at the lake when you are fishing or just hanging out.
**Members can pay your dues of $165; fishing passes are $85 for a total of $250.00. If you have a boat stored by the lake it will need to be “stickered” with a sticker you can purchase from our Treasurer Vickie. It is $3.00 each year and each year there will be a new sticker. This year if by June 21 a boat is not stickered it will be removed from the lake. After a number of days the boats will be disposed of. Many members have left boats after moving away and we need those spots for active members. Please make check out to Snowline-Skydale POA and then mail check with a self-addressed stamped envelope (for fish passes & boat stickers to be mailed to you) Send to: Snowline-Skydale POA, P.O. Box 231, Rollinsville, CO 80474.
AERATORS – Matt C reported that last year Don F helped him with a rebuild of the compressor so now we have two knowledgeable members that can complete that task. Matt said that it will be necessary to do this each year in August for them to work properly. The cost is $280/year. Matt and Dan have been researching sound dampening materials for the compressor at the lake. Matt talked to someone about a custom wood shed but then we would have to provide and construct the sound dampening in the wood box. This was at a cost of $2000. Then they found a pre-fabricated box called a Zombie Box that would fit on top of our own existing structure. It would provide proper air flow, it can be painted because the exterior is coated with a rhino coating that lasts a lifetime. It also is $2000. It was moved by John F, seconded and the vote was passed to go ahead and purchase the Zombie Box. Thank you Matt for the work you put in on this.
LAKE CLEAN UP DAY – Saturday, June 21 – 10-Noon : Projects to be addressed are at the exit flow channel on John F’s property some large sticks need to be removed, general trash pick up, wrap and rewrap any vulnerable trees, cut off tree stumps for safety, check that boats are tied down, any boats that are not stickered should be removed. Vickie talked about reinforcing the trench from road to the lake to prevent the boat area from flooding. Also by the Phillip’s home there is a culvert there that needs to be trenched for better drainage. Bring shovels, gloves and lots of hands will make light work! Matt thanked Vickie for all her work that she has put in on the culvert so the grass is not so wet leading down to the boat area.
Lake Weed Raking is non existent right now. If you see any weeds floating just throw over the dam side. In the fall we will be able to determine if the lake needs raked.
ANNUAL POTLUCK PICNIC – Saturday, August 9 from 11am – 1pm. The barbecue will be at noon. The Board will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, lemonade, and chips. Members can bring their favorite side dishes. The Board will allow $300 for the picnic supplies. Becky will send out an email in July as a reminder. Vickie has a sign she can post by the bus stop.
BOAT STICKER – once again we will be issuing a $3.00 per year sticker for boats that are being stored at the lake. The sticker should be placed on the right side of the boat above the water line. (the right side when you are sitting in the watercraft).
OPEN FORUM: Catherine C. mentioned the last few years she has sprayed for thistle and it seems to be under control for now. Our member Jack Bayer helped her a lot of the time and he passed away this last year, we will miss Jack.
This Spring it has been noticed that someone drove around the boulders down by the gate and now that area will take a long time to recover, we try to preserve that area with no motor vehicle activity if we can.
Sally B said the Wild Bear Nature Center will be fishing on Tuesdays, June 3 & 17 then again on July 8 and 29th. There might be 6-10 kids fly fishing (catch and release).
It was moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 12:30pm. Meeting minutes and other pertinent information can be found on our website Snowline-Skydale.org
REMEMBER: We are requiring ALL MEMBERS to wear their pass when they are on lake property, either fishing or walking or just spending some time enjoying themselves. It is a MEMBERS ONLY lake and that will help identify each of us when we are using the lake and property.
Respectfully submitted,
