2023-2024 Fishing Season Pass and Member Lake Pass (non-fishing) is good through May 31, 2024.  A pass must always be worn at the lake when you are fishing or just hanging out.

**Members can pay your dues of $165; fishing passes are $85 for a total of $250.00.  Beginning this year if you have a boat stored by the lake it will need to be “stickered” with a sticker you can purchase from our Treasurer Vickie.  It is $3.00 each year and each year there will be a new sticker.  This year if by August a boat is not stickered it will be removed from the lake.  After a number of days the boats will be disposed of.  Many members have left boats after moving away and we need those spots for active members.  Please make check out to Snowline-Skydale POA and then mail check with a self-addressed stamped envelope (for passes & boat stickers to be mailed to you)  Send to: Snowline-Skydale POA, P.O. Box 231, Rollinsville, CO  80474.

AERATORS:  Matt C explained the sound dampening process of the compressors.  Chris C mentioned using a sound dampening board or foam as well.  Dan mentioned that around the aerators is very thin ice in the winter and cautioned anyone –  going onto the ice to fish or walk about.

John F has 2 aerators, plus there are 2 that we have put in.  These are separate of the nano bubble system.  Research has shown that they are not as effective as the nano bubble systems.  Diaphragm aerators are more costly to rebuild about $120 each for each year vs. the nano bubble system is $206 every three years.  Dan proposed that the old system live out their life and purchase an additional diffuser for $304.00.  John F would like to see his aerators gone.  Steve J suggested only running 1 older compressor in the wintertime.  The motion presented was to buy 1 rebuild kit for the nano bubble system, 1 – 9inch diffuser for $304 and keep the 1 diaphragm aerator working this winter, it was moved and seconded by Chris C and John F.  The motion was passed.

LAKE CLEAN UP DAY –  is scheduled for Saturday, June 3 at 10am.  Some projects that need attention is wrapping trees with a heavier chicken wire.  The beaver has actively been removing it to get to the trees.  Chris C said he would take care of thistle spraying throughout the summer.  General pick up of any trash around the lake etc.  It was moved by Jennifer S and seconded by Don F that we spend up to $300 on supplies for the day.

ANNUAL POTLUCK PICNIC –  is scheduled for Saturday, August 12 from 11am – 1pm.  The barbecue will be at noon.  The Board will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, lemonade, and chips.  Members can bring their favorite side dishes.  It was moved by Kathy F and seconded by Don F that we allow $300 to be spent towards the picnic.  Becky will send out an email in July as a reminder.  Vickie has a sign she can post by the bus stop.

BOAT STICKER –  this year we will be issuing a $3.00 per year sticker for boats that are being stored at the lake.  The sticker should be placed on the right side of the boat above the water line.  (the right side when you are sitting in the watercraft).  This year boats that are not stickered by the first week of August will be removed and if not claimed in a set number of days will be disposed of.  Many members have moved away from the area and have left their boats.  We have 14 spots for boats and 36 boats are spread across the shoreline.  Next year we will discuss limiting the amount of watercraft that a property owner can have at the lake.

Weed Clean Up in the lake water will be scheduled for early Fall.  It needs to be done when the weeds have stopped growing.  Dan will send out a text message for help with this project.  Terri V suggested that getting a tarp to put across the dam might be easier to place the weeds on when pushing them to the other side of the dam.  The weed shears are outside of John F garage.  We would like to thank Kyla J for placing the probiotic treatments in the lake 4 times a year last year and again this year.

Dan handed out a “general use criteria” for the lake.  It can also be found on the Website.

Sally B said the Wild Bear Nature Center will be fishing on Tuesdays, June 6, July 18, and August 18.   There might be 6-10 kids (catch and release).  Dan M mentioned that the mailboxes on the road by his home are going to be extended eastward and to pass the word that if your box is an old one it needs replaced.

John F made a motion and Chris C seconded to close the meeting at 12:20pm.  Motion passed.  Meeting minutes and other pertinent information can be found on Snowline-Skydale.org

REMEMBER: We are requiring ALL MEMBERS to wear their pass when they are on lake property, either fishing or walking or just spending some time enjoying themselves.  It is a MEMBERS ONLY lake and that will help identify each of us when we are there using the lake and property.

Respectfully submitted,

Becky Dague, Secretary
